Deposit, cancellation, and waiting.

These are the rules on a request, a quote, and the confirmation note.

Deposit

The deposit at booking is 20% of the fare before GST. No GST is added to the deposit. It is recorded here and taken outside this site. Nothing is charged from this website.

Balance

A balance invoice goes out 48 hours before pickup. The balance can be paid any time before pickup. An unpaid balance does not cancel the trip. Nothing is charged on this site.

No-show

A no-show keeps 100% of the fare. GST on that kept amount is 5/105. Nothing is added on top.

Payment

Payment method: Arranged by the desk. Nothing is charged on this site.

Desk checks

Evening check 7 PM. Morning check 7 AM. Lost items are held for 30 days.

GST

the listed fare + GST. The 20% deposit has no GST. 5% GST is charged on the full fare on the balance invoice, and not before the first paid booking date. There is no PST.

Kept deposit

If a deposit is kept on a late cancellation, 5/105 of the kept amount is recorded as GST collected.

Cancellation

Cancelling more than 48 hours before pickup is free. Cancelling within 24 hours of pickup is not refunded. Cancelling between 24 and 48 hours before pickup: Westlane keeps 100% of the deposit.

Waiting at YVR

Waiting is free for 60 minutes at YVR. After that, waiting is $20.00 + GST ($21.00 incl. GST) per 10-minute block. Waiting is a separate invoice after the trip.

Waiting elsewhere

Waiting is free for 15 minutes everywhere except YVR. After that, waiting is $20.00 + GST ($21.00 incl. GST) per 10-minute block. Waiting is a separate invoice after the trip.

Hourly

Hourly billing is the first hour, then 15-minute increments.

Weddings

Weddings have a 3-hour minimum.

Fleet

The schedule starts with one Large Vehicle (3-row SUV). A sedan is listed and not offered. If that vehicle is already booked, the trip can go to a partner.
